Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) - Recklinghausen Location | Hybrid Setup
As a Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d), you will take on a central role within our Payroll team and, together with Laura, our Lead Payroll, will be responsible for payroll processing for Arsipa Holding and our over 20 subsidiaries. Together with the Payroll team, you will ensure that our payroll processing for over 1,000 employees is carried out reliably, in compliance with the law, and efficiently, and you will continuously develop our payroll processes. Your Tasks
Payroll & Salary Calculation:
Independent execution of monthly payroll processing for defined companies within the Arsipa Group using DATEV Lohn & Gehalt.
Ensuring timely, correct, and legally compliant payroll processing for Arsipa Holding and our over 20 subsidiaries.
Handling of payroll tax, social security, and payroll-relevant issues.
Creation of certificates, notifications, and other payroll-relevant reports and documents.
Payroll Operations & Collaboration:
Point of contact for employees, managers, and our colleagues from People Operations in all payroll-relevant matters.
Communication and coordination with health insurance companies, social security institutions, authorities, and other external bodies.
Close collaboration with Laura, our Lead Payroll, and colleagues within our Payroll and People team.
Support with group-wide payroll topics within our corporate group.
Processes, Digitization & Harmonization:
Active participation in the further development and harmonization of our payroll processes across the entire corporate group.
Identification and implementation of optimization potential within existing payroll workflows.
Participation in digitization projects and the further development of our payroll system landscape with DATEV Lohn & Gehalt and Personio.
Support in building scalable payroll structures within a rapidly growing corporate group.
Your Entry Requirements
What you bring:
Several years of professional experience in independent payroll processing as well as profound knowledge of payroll tax, social security, and labor law, practical experience with DATEV Lohn & Gehalt, and confident handling of digital payroll processes.
Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further training in payroll, personnel specialist, or a comparable qualification.
A structured, self-reliant, and careful working style, as well as a high quality awareness.
Strong service orientation and enjoyment of collaboration with employees, managers, and internal departments. You communicate confidently in German.
What helps you succeed faster:
Experience with Personio or comparable HR systems is an advantage.
Experience in harmonizing, standardizing, or digitizing payroll processes is desirable.
An understanding of multi-entity, buy-and-build, or dynamically growing corporate structures is helpful.
Experience in collaborating with multiple companies and various internal and external stakeholders is beneficial.
