SENIOR PACKAGING DEVELOPER
Job description
To strengthen our packaging development team, we are looking for a person to join us in the role of:
SENIOR PACKAGING DEVELOPER
Reporting to the Technical Directorate, this role is responsible for the primary and secondary packaging development of Unifarco products. Based on Marketing's indications, they translate product and brand needs into concrete packaging solutions, working cross-functionally with all involved departments – R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Production, Purchasing, and Suppliers – to define, for each product, the most effective solution from concept to industrialization.
Main responsibilities
- develops and optimizes primary and secondary packaging solutions for Unifarco products;
- translates Marketing briefs and indications into feasible technical solutions, defining the most suitable solution for each product;
- manages end-to-end packaging development projects, from concept to industrialization, cross-functionally coordinating all involved departments;
- collaborates with suppliers for material scouting, negotiation, and solution industrialization;
- ensures regulatory compliance of packaging (cosmetic and food sectors);
- gathers and evaluates technical documentation and product specifications;
- promotes continuous improvement in terms of costs, performance, and sustainability;
- monitors industry trends and innovations (materials, design, processes, sustainability, and supply chain).
Ideal requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related disciplines;
- at least 5-7 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or food contexts;
- solid knowledge of packaging materials (plastic, glass, paper, aluminum) and their processes;
- proven project management and supplier management skills;
- knowledge of industry regulations and packaging sustainability issues;
- strong cross-functional coordination skills and personal leadership;
- problem-solving attitude and strong results orientation;
- attention to detail and sensitivity towards ESG issues.
Work location
Santa Giustina (Province of Belluno).
Compensation package
- Gross annual salary ranging approximately between 40,000 and 45,000 euros;
- Company welfare and profit-sharing bonus;
- National Chemical Industry Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Industria Chimica)
