The DCC is looking for talented Senior OSINT Investigators to strengthen our Multidisciplinary Cyber Teams (MDCTs)! Intelligence is crucial for planning and executing military cyber operations. As an investigator, you contribute to acquiring Open Source Intelligence to enable military (offensive) cyber operations.

You are an important sensor in the intelligence process of military cyber operations. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the intelligence needed to achieve operational goals is available. Your knowledge of intelligence, open-source research (including social media), and of course cyber forms an important part of our success.

You will conduct in-depth research into publicly available information based on the intelligence needs of primarily military cyber operations and secondarily other stakeholders within the intelligence domain. You are the point of contact and advisor for OSINT within your work environment and the representative to the outside. Furthermore, you are responsible for acquiring, developing, and safeguarding knowledge in the field of OSINT.

Job Requirements

For this position, it is particularly important that you have experience and knowledge in the field of OSINT, SOCMINT, and affinity with cyber. You have skills in conducting research (in open sources), applying research and analysis methods and techniques, and writing and presenting OSINT semi-finished and final products.

Knowledge/Education:
- Relevant HBO/WO education or equivalent work and intellectual capacity
- Additional courses in the use of the internet, social media, conducting research on the internet, social media, and with information providers

Experience:
- Extensive experience with OSINT
- Extensive (technical) knowledge of online (social media) platforms and information sources

Desired:
- Experience with scripting or programming languages
- Experience in the intelligence domain (e.g., preferably MIVD)
- Experience in the cyber domain
- Experience working in a joint environment
- Experience working within the MIVD, particularly as an OSINT investigator

Competencies:
- Analyzing
- Communication
- Delegating
- Judgment
- Persuasiveness

Other:
- Preferably knowledge of at least 1 other language, for example French, Spanish

The DCC does this in and via cyberspace, independently or together with military and civilian partners, thereby contributing to the overall operational striking power of the armed forces. For this, the DCC develops and sorts cyber effects, supports the armed forces in integrating cyber, and is the knowledge authority for military cyber operations. The DCC does all this according to its three core values: effective, expert, and connected.
