Job description
Due to continued growth in the energy sector, we’re expanding our team and looking for a Senior or Principal Primary Engineer to join our AECOM Energy team in Hamilton or Auckland. This is a key technical role supporting clients across the generation, industrial, and transmission & distribution sectors, working on medium and high-voltage (MV/HV) electrical design projects throughout New Zealand.
How you’ll make a difference:
- Lead and deliver conceptual and detailed designs of primary electrical systems.
- Select appropriate electrical equipment to meet technical and client requirements.
- Produce and review electrical drawings (with CAD team support).
- Prepare technical specifications and construction contract documentation.
- Conduct construction monitoring and on-site inspections to ensure design compliance.
- Support the commissioning of new electrical and control systems.
