Senior/ Nurse Manager (Operating Theatre)

The Role: Provide Nursing leadership, management and direction in regard to setting and maintaining quality standards, staff development and resource management in daily operation of the unit. The Senior Nurse Manager has an overall accountability for the standard of patient care, appropriate matching of nurse competence to patient need, occupational health and safety of the staff, and clinical risk management. Responsibilities Set unit goals and objectives in consultation with clinical team Responsibility for ensuring that all nursing staff are aware of and comply with relevant policies and procedures Ensure effective communication between nursing staff, other healthcare professionals and patients Foster a positive work environment that promotes job satisfaction, morale and motivation among nursing staff Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care and make recommendations for improvement Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care Provide leadership and guidance to junior nurses and other healthcare professionals.
