We are looking for a Senior Network Architect / Manager (m/w/d) for a long-term infrastructure project in the area of network-BGP and virtualization. The position is aimed at experts with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in modern data center topologies as well as IT security systems within a KRITIS environment.

Ihre Aufgaben

• Analysis of existing IT and network infrastructure, as well as creation of detailed technical designs and specifications

• Programming and implementation of new network functions and features according to the project specifications

• Conceptualization and implementation of high-availability architectures including single-point-of-failure (SPOF) analyses

• Creation and implementation of comprehensive, BSI-compliant security and firewall concepts including documentation of IP networks, zones, and rule sets

• Setup and configuration of multi-layered firewall and network topologies taking into account automation aspects

• Implementation and configuration of virtual network segments, uplinks, and iBGP areas as well as monitoring of firewalls and policy-automation

• Control of network-, switch-, and VPN-management including access control via two-factor authentication (2FA) and ISP connection

• Planning and execution of comprehensive test series (unit-, integration-, and system-tests) as well as error correction and performance optimization

• Updating the data center documentation and implementing specific information security requirements in the context of critical infrastructure (KRITIS)

• Close coordination with development teams, program owners, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and preparation for handover

Muss-Anforderungen

• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in new data center topologies (Clos/Spine-Leaf) as well as various IT security systems (IDS/IPS, Antispam, WAF)

• Funded experience in implementing company-specific information security requirements in the context of critical infrastructure (KRITIS)

• Comprehensive knowledge in designing and implementing complex network architectures as well as BGP-based network structures

• Long-term experience with security solutions from Fortinet and Checkpoint as well as enterprise firewalls systems

• Mastery of the German language at a native level, as well as negotiation-sure English skills in writing and speaking

Kann-Anforderungen

• Experience with OCP-Switch operating systems (SoniC) as well as dynamic routing protocols

• Knowledge of modern test methods in the area of critical infrastructure

• Experience in functional network monitoring, network automation, and vulnerability management

• Competence in analyzing, evaluating, and eliminating single points of failure (SPOF) in high-availability networks

• Experience in supporting the operation of high-availability network and security environments including error analysis and performance optimization
