Job description
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:
- Perform network configuration changes and service requests in compliance with strict customer change management processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, collaborating with OEM providers to identify and fix issues.
- Provide proactive recommendations and develop scripts to automate network tasks across LAN, WLAN, Firewall, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Coordinate with application owners to assess and fulfill bandwidth requirements for new link commissioning.
- Work with local ISPs to deploy new internet and WAN links.
- Execute iOS upgrades and downgrades on switches, routers, and WLAN devices.
- Deliver full support for Major Incident Management (MIM) and provide detailed Root Cause Analyses (RCA) for major failures as part of Problem Management.
- 8–10 years of hands-on experience in network operations and performance management.
- Strong technical expertise in Cisco Meraki, Cisco NAC, Fortinet, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Proven experience in network configuration, troubleshooting, and service request management.
- Proficiency in scripting for network task automation.
- Solid background in managing LAN, WLAN, Firewall, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Work effectively in high-pressure environments and manage incidents with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate across teams and external providers to ensure seamless network operations.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities to enhance network efficiency and reliability.
