Where you make the difference

• You deliver and develop services based on virtual network techniques and manage and maintain them;

• You ensure the continuity of the CBS by maintaining, developing, and managing the physical network, both in the data center and at office locations.

• You work on protecting our environment through the management of firewalls, microsegmentation, proxy servers, and application delivery controllers;

• You work on maximizing the automation of management tasks and providing autonomy to customer teams

• You have an affinity for offering infrastructure services as self-service and through 'Infrastructure-as-Code'.

Your future colleagues

You will work in the IaaS Team of the Generieke Infrastructuur (IGI) department. We operate using an Agile methodology, combined with ITIL. An active contribution is expected in the success of this working method, which is reflected in, among other things, the creation of high-quality stories and epics, keeping your stories up-to-date on the Azure DevOps board, and active and constructive participation in events such as daily stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
The total size of the Generieke Infrastructuur department is about 30 experts working in Heerlen and The Hague. The IaaS Team consists of approximately 15 colleagues working in Heerlen and The Hague. We value enjoyment in our work, and this is therefore embedded in our core values.

In addition, we expect you to:

• Have demonstrable experience in managing complex networks

• Always have information security top of mind,

• Have extensive experience in automating infrastructure service delivery.

• Have knowledge and experience with network virtualization used for self-service.

• Be proficient in working iteratively, where products are aligned with customer demand,

• Be able to empathize with users of our IT services and work problem-solving from that perspective.

• Are you experienced with Terraform/Ansible and DevOps pipelines to make infrastructure services available as code? Then we would love to utilize that knowledge and experience.
  

Actually well arranged

For our employment conditions, we follow the CAO Rijk. This means that, among other things, you can count on the following:

• A salary of at least € 4132,- and a maximum of € 6275,- gross per month based on 36 hours. Depending on your knowledge and experience. If you do not yet possess all the necessary knowledge and experience at the start of your role, a temporary classification in a lower salary scale may be chosen. You will make agreements about this with your manager at the start of your role.

• 8% holiday pay and a 13th month. In total, this is 16.5% on top of your salary. We call this the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). You determine how, when, and in what way you want to use this budget.

• Pension accrual at the ABP Pension Fund.

• A laptop (Microsoft or Apple) and mobile phone (Android or iOS).

• Two to three days of working from home; the rest of the time you will be present in our recently renovated building. You will make further agreements about this within your team.
