Senior Navigation Engineer (m/w/d)

Tasks

As Senior Navigation Engineer, you develop navigation solutions that also work where GPS has failed. You work on robust sensor fusion, anti-jamming and alternative methods – at one of the most critical building blocks of modern precision-guided munitions.

• You develop robust navigation solutions for GNSS-affected environments
• You develop and optimize sensor fusion algorithms
• You analyze, simulate and test navigation procedures
• You conduct field tests and evaluate them
• You work closely with the software-, systems- and test teams together
• You test and integrate new sensors and methods into the overall system

Qualification

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, control engineering or a comparable field
• Experience with IMU-, GNSS- and anti-jamming systems
• Knowledge in the area of Electronic Warfare
• Fundamental knowledge in control engineering, estimation methods or sensor fusion
• Experience with practical tests and data evaluation
• Experience with image-based navigation or terrain-referenced navigation is advantageous
• Knowledge in KI-supported positioning determination is advantageous
• Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills
• Nationality of an EU or NATO member state (excluding USA) and willingness to undergo a security check according to SÜG
