Senior Mobile Software Engineer (m/w/d)
Job description
You want to work at the interface between aviation, digitalization, and modern app development? In our company, we develop unmanned aircraft systems (UAVs) of the next generation, which are used in rescue, logistics, and reconnaissance. All systems are connected by a central, highly redundant control system – the heart of our autonomous flight platform.
As a Senior Mobile Software Engineer, you will take technical leadership for our mobile ecosystem. You will design and develop high-performance applications that interact with our backend systems, and ensure that users in the field can work reliably, securely, and in real-time with our aircraft.
Tasks
- Architecture, development, and optimization of native or cross-platform mobile applications
- Integration of robust interfaces (APIs) to our core systems
- Implementation of offline-first functionalities for operations in areas with limited connectivity
- Design and optimization of UI/UX for technical personnel in challenging operational environments
- Overall responsibility for the development and release process – from prototyping to monitoring
Qualification
- Completed studies in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable field
- At least 5 years of experience in mobile software development and releasing complex, data-driven apps
- Fundamental knowledge of agile methods, mobile DevOps (CI/CD), and test-driven development
- Comfortable with Flutter, React Native, or Swift/Kotlin, REST/GraphQL APIs, Git, and Atlassian tools
- Optional: Experience with Odoo Mobile Framework, XML-RPC, or aviation-specific software is advantageous
- Willingness to undergo a security check according to German standards (Ü2 required)
