Full Time 150000.00 - 150000.00

Job description

Senior Merchandise Planner
Own, Influence, and Drive Commercial Success

The Opportunity:

Step into a pivotal role with one of Australia’s most iconic and fastest-growing global fashion retailer. As the Senior Merchandise Planner, you’ll command high-volume, high-profile categories that have a direct and measurable impact on revenue, profit, and market position.

This is not a “maintenance” role; it’s a strategic, results-driven position where you’ll set the commercial agenda, influence decision-making at the highest level, and see your strategies play out in real time across a national retail network.

Your Impact:

• Full Commercial Ownership: Lead the entire merchandise planning cycle from budget setting and OTB management through to allocation, replenishment, and post-season review.
• Drive Sales & Margin: Deliver best-in-class budget and OTB plans, applying promotional, markdown, and pricing strategies to maximise sell-through and profitability.
• Strategic Forecasting: Partner with Buying to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and ensure financial targets are exceeded, not just met.
• High-Impact Assortment Planning: Build data-led assortments tailored by region, channel, and customer profile, ensuring the right product lands in the right place at exactly the right time.
Commercial Insights: Lead seasonal trade reviews and category deep-dives, translating SKU-level data into actionable strategies.
• Influence & Leadership: Mentor and inspire planners, instilling a culture of accountability, commercial curiosity, and continuous improvement.
• Retail Network Partnership: Work directly with stores and distribution teams to unlock performance and solve stock challenges fast.

Who You Are:

• A proven Senior or experienced Merchandise Planner from a large-scale or high-growth retail business.
• Commercially fearless, seeing opportunities where others see risk, and confident in backing it with data.
• Exceptional at managing and executing budgets, inventory, and margin strategies with precision.
• Skilled at influencing stakeholders at all levels, from store managers to the executive team.
• Highly proficient in Excel with deep experience using merchandise planning systems and analytics tools.
• A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

What’s On Offer:

• The chance to own the planning strategy for categories that define the brand’s commercial success.
• A fast-moving, collaborative culture where innovation and results are rewarded.
• 40% team discount across the full range, plus birthday leave and wellness support via EAP.
• Long-term recognition through service awards and employee referral incentives.
• A people-first, customer-obsessed environment where your ideas are heard and acted on.
This is your chance to take the reins of a commercially critical role in a brand that’s only getting bigger.
