Senior Medical Technologist - Canton Potsdam Hospital

Job Title: Senior Medical Technologist Department: CPH Laboratory Services Location: Canton - Potsdam Hospital Hours Per Week: Full time , 40 scheduled weekly hours Schedule: 8 hour variable shift SUMMARY: As a member of the professional medical team, accurately performs clinical laboratory analyses and examinations by approved department procedures on blood, urine, body fluids and tissues within a published turn around time using a variety of instruments and methods to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. This includes, but is not limited to, performing and reporting routine and specialized laboratory tests, such as hematology, chemistry, and microbiology, as well as performing quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. Additionally, the Senior Medical Technologist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests and results, as well as participating in continuing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical technology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
