Senior Medical Coder – Anesthesia
Job description
The Senior Medical Coder – Anesthesia is responsible for accurately coding anesthesia services using appropriate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes in compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory standards. The role ensures optimal reimbursement while maintaining high quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Review anesthesia operative reports and medical records to assign correct CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes. Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, and payer-specific anesthesia coding guidelines. Develop and maintain expertise in anesthesia coding principles, regulations, and industry standards. Collaborate with the Coding Team to ensure accurate and consistent coding practices. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry developments.
