Job description

The activities are performed within the Directorate of Personnel & Organization (DP&O) of the Royal Netherlands Navy Command (CZSK).

The directorate is responsible for organizing CZSK as efficiently and effectively as possible in terms of organization, personnel logistics, and healthcare, with the aim of keeping CZSK and designated units outside it staffed quantitatively and qualitatively with deployable and motivated military and civilian personnel. The DP&O consists of the departments Cabinet, Legal Affairs, Communication, Personnel & Organization, Medical & Personnel Care, and Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) Training (including the schools).

The position is performed within the Medical and Personnel Care department of the Directorate of Personnel & Organization of the Royal Netherlands Navy Command.

As a Senior Support Employee, you will work at the Social Medical Service (SMD) of the Royal Netherlands Navy in Hilversum. The Social Medical Service provides absence management and reintegration for absent and/or medically repatriated CZSK military personnel back to their primary function or another function within the Ministry of Defence.

Job requirements

As a Senior Support Employee, you will manage the workshop of SMD, and instruct and guide reintegrating individuals daily in activities such as woodworking and metalworking.

Education:

Required: MBO-3 or MBO-4 in technology/carpentry or occupational therapy, Welding qualification.

Desired: First Aid, MVK (Middle Management Safety) or willingness to obtain it, Handling/working with a 3D printer.

Experience:

Required: Affinity with aspects of personnel care.

Desired: Operational experience on board a ship or an operational unit of the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.

Competencies (optional): Sociable, communicative, customer-oriented, accurate, team player, decisive, and responsible.

Physical requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, physically strong and fit.

Other requirements: Authorized/qualified/certified to operate woodworking machines (various types of saws/sanders, etc.), metalworking machines, etc.
