Senior Mechanical Engineer

Description/Synopsis: A well-established engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Pr Eng) to join its Building Services team. The role involves leading complex mechanical design projects across healthcare, commercial, and large-scale infrastructure developments, from inception through to handover. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an experienced professional who can manage large projects, mentor junior engineers, and engage confidently with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Key responsibilities will include: • Developing and delivering comprehensive mechanical design solutions for complex building services projects; • Leading and managing project teams to ensure successful project delivery; • Collaborating with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated designs; • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers; • Engaging with clients and multidisciplinary teams to understand their needs and deliver tailored design solutions. The ideal candidate will have: • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; • At least 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably in the building services sector; • Chartered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) status or equivalent; • Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
