Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – New Product Introduction Location: Rochester; Kent: Onsite Salary: £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience Who we are: Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. What we’re looking for: A highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and procedures. You will be responsible for leading the NPI process from design to production, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities: • Lead the NPI process, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches. • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams. • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, reducing costs and increasing efficiency. • Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with relevant safety and quality standards. What you’ll need: • A degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defence industry. • Proven track record of successfully leading NPI projects from design to production. • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
