Job description

Become part of a strong team at emetriq!

emetriq, part of Deutsche Telekom AG, offers data-driven online advertising solutions and is committed to fair data access as a driver of innovation and diversity. With our expertise and technological competence, we increase the precision and relevance of online advertising. As initiators of the largest collaborative data pool in Germany, we bring together over 100 data and media experts.

Within the Magenta team, we also function as the exclusive Programmatic & Paid Social Media agency for Deutsche Telekom. From awareness to performance: We develop digital media plans and manage campaigns along the entire marketing funnel.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Manager SEA (m/f/d) in full-time, effective immediately, in Bonn or Hamburg. In this overarching role, you will work for our client Deutsche Telekom in the private customer segment and combine operational SEA understanding with strategic consulting and a focus on performance marketing. You will provide technical management of our SEA measures, question existing campaign structures and processes, and further develop them together with the operational campaign teams to sustainably increase conversion, efficiency, and growth.

How you can help us

  • Technical management of implementation:
You translate strategic performance goals into clear requirements, prioritize measures, and accompany the operational implementation in exchange with involved partners and departments.

  • Overarching SEA responsibility:
You manage performance-oriented SEA measures across the board and ensure that goals, planning, operational implementation, and optimization effectively interlock.

  • Operational quality assurance:
You review account and campaign structures, keywords, ads, target groups, budgets, and bidding strategies, and assess whether the implementation supports the defined performance goals.

  • Analysis and further development:
You analyze performance data, question existing measures and processes, and develop concrete improvement approaches to increase efficiency, conversion, and growth.

  • Strategic consulting:
You advise internal stakeholders on campaign architecture, keyword and budget strategies, automation, measurability, and cross-channel issues with a focus on performance marketing. In doing so, you do not simply continue existing measures and processes uncritically, but constructively question them and specifically optimize or further develop them.

  • Testing and innovation:
You develop new testing approaches for campaign types, ads, landing pages, target groups, and bidding strategies, and together with the campaign teams, evaluate their impact on conversion, efficiency, and scaling.

  • Cross-channel perspective and tracking:
You consider SEA in conjunction with other channels and derive integrated recommendations from this along the communication and performance goals.

  • Presentation and stakeholder management:
You prepare results and recommendations in an understandable way and present them confidently to decision-makers and internal departments.

  • Standards and processes:
You further develop existing working methods, quality standards, and processes, and ensure that successful approaches are sustainably anchored in the team.

What you bring

  • In-depth SEA expertise:
You have several years of experience in search engine marketing and are familiar with the requirements for planning, managing, and optimizing complex, performance-oriented SEA measures.

  • Operational platform understanding:
You know operational campaign management from your own experience and can confidently assess account structures, set-ups, and optimization decisions in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.

  • Strategic thinking:
You strategically place performance data and operational issues in a larger context, question existing measures, and derive well-founded recommendations and further developments from them.

  • Critical eye:
You constructively question existing measures and processes, identify potential for improvement, and drive their further development with your own impetus.

  • Management and consulting skills:
You can clearly formulate technical requirements, guide operational teams goal-orientedly, and lead different stakeholders to a common solution at eye level.

  • Tracking understanding:
You have in-depth knowledge of conversion tracking, attribution, GA4, and ideally Google Tag Manager.

  • Communication skills:
You can convey complex interrelationships understandably, justify recommendations logically, and present confidently to various contact persons.

  • Self-responsibility and organization:
You work in a structured, independent manner with a high demand for quality and maintain an overview even with complex topics, priorities, and stakeholders.

  • Language skills:
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, complete your profile.
