Your Team
The Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance is a key leadership position responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of integrity and risk excellence across the organisation. This role is an individual contributor across both Risk and Compliance, serving as a single interface into the business. Acting as a trusted advisor to the CFS business, the Senior Manager works within the second line of defence to deliver robust risk and compliance support, enabling the organisation to meet its regulatory obligations while driving operational resilience and business growth.
The Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance reports to a Director, Risk & Compliance. The role may be allocated to any portfolio of the CFS business as required, however domain specialisations and technical capabilities may apply.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide strategic-level Line 2 Risk and Compliance advice across all risk classes to CFS management and the regulated entity Boards.
- Providing deep subject matter insights into the management of your allocated business units risk and compliance matters.
- Support robust risk-based business decisions through Line 2 advice and challenge.
- Enable delivery of CFS substantial transformation agenda within risk appetite.
- Provide advice and strategic guidance to stakeholders across the CFS Group (including the CFS Leadership Team, extended leadership team, external stakeholders and Board) in respect of complex matters associated with financial services risk and compliance management.
- Contributes to the consistent and sustainable implementation of key Frameworks (including but not limited to the Risk Management Framework and the Compliance Management Framework) and related policies and standards across the CFS Group.
- Deliver on business analysis to identify areas of improvement or misalignment within operating practices.
Your Capability and Experience
Mandatory
- 10+ years’ experience in risk and compliance advisory within Wealth businesses.
- Relevant degree qualification (for example, Law or Finance).
- Deep understanding of super and investments value chains and integrated business models.
- Deep understanding of customer centric strategies within integrated business models
- Deep understanding of adviser business models and relationships with platforms and product providers
- Proven ability to work with business stakeholders
- Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills across multiple functions

- Broad regulatory perspective and industry benchmarking
