Senior Manager, Quality Engineering

What You'll Be Doing (position summary): The Senior Manager, Quality Engineer leads the Quality Engineering (QE) team within CIBCs ET QA group. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the system testing process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs and organizational standards. The incumbent manages the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts, coordinates end-to-end test support and governance, and drives continuous improvement efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing initiatives, develops and maintains testing strategies, and provides guidance on testing methodologies and tools. The Senior Manager, Quality Engineer is accountable for the overall quality of the QE team's work products and services, ensuring that they meet the required standards and are delivered in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining comprehensive testing plans and test cases to ensure thorough coverage of system functionality and performance; • Collaborating with developers to identify and prioritize testing requirements, and providing feedback on testing approaches and methodologies; • Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using various tools and technologies; • Coordinating end-to-end test support and governance across multiple teams and stakeholders; • Driving continuous improvement efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices; • Providing guidance on testing methodologies and tools to QE team members; • Ensuring the quality of work products and services delivered by the QE team, and holding team members accountable for meeting required standards and timelines. What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing and quality engineering, with experience in leading teams and developing testing strategies. They should be able to demonstrate expertise in testing methodologies and tools, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. In addition, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement efforts and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
