As a (Senior) Manager Projects & Process Excellence (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for strategic change, efficiency, and software projects – from analysis to implementation. You will structure complex issues, develop robust project plans, and keep an eye on milestones, resources, risks, and dependencies. You will bring together various departments and management, prepare clear decision-making bases, and manage classic, agile, and hybrid projects. You are the interface between requesters from the business departments and the technology team, further develop processes and our projectstandards, and ensure that concepts become concrete, measurable improvements. Project management with us is more than just coordination and administration.

Your core tasks are:

• Lead strategic projects: You will independently lead cross-departmental change, efficiency, and process optimization projects as well as software and digitalization projects.
• Manage agile software projects: You will work closely with business departments and development teams, coordinate priorities and dependencies, and help to further expand agile collaboration.
• Translate complexity into actionable plans: You will clarify goals and scope, structure work packages, and manage milestones, time, resources, budgets, risks, and dependencies: classic, agile, or hybrid.
• Prepare and represent decisions: You will create decision-ready management updates and steering documents with recommendations, scenarios, and clear decision requirements. You will confidently represent project results and conflicting goals to stakeholders and executives.
• Bring teams together: You will lead interdisciplinary project teams laterally and moderate workshops and decision-making processes – bringing together different perspectives and priorities.
• Advance energy industry projects: You will familiarize yourself with the relevant contexts in the areas of energy trading, direct marketing, and digital solutions, ask the right questions, and combine technical, functional, and operational requirements into robust solutions and concrete project results.
• Improve end-to-end processes: You will analyze workflows, identify breaks and potential for improvement, and design effective, efficient processes with clear responsibilities and pragmatic solutions.
• Budget controlling: You will review project-related hours and costs, coordinate invoice approvals, and keep an eye on the project budget.

In addition, you will shape our project management:

• Implement improvements effectively: You will drive the jointly identified and decided efficiency and process improvements forward and check whether the intended impact is achieved in everyday operations.
• Further develop project management: You will further develop methods, frameworks, and best practices, especially for agile software development projects, thereby strengthening quality, speed, and results orientation.
• Anchor project work across departments: You will involve the relevant business departments, integrate project work into ongoing business operations, and ensure clear responsibilities, binding decisions, and visible progress. In an organization with decentralized responsibilities, you will pragmatically further develop our project management structures, roles, and standards.

This is what you bring:

• Several years of experience in the independent management of complex projects, ideally in change projects, process optimization, digitalization, or software development.
• In-depth practical experience in classic project management, for example, in planning and controlling scope, timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Above all, you bring practical experience in agile project management of software development projects and have ideally already used AI-supported tools or methods in a project context.
• Experience in clarifying functional requirements with technical teams and turning complex issues into actionable work packages and decisions.
• Clear communication, analytical and structured thinking, as well as the ability to provide orientation even with different perspectives and priorities.
• Confidence in moderating workshops and in the lateral leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
• Interest in further developing project management structures, roles, and standards. You bring initiative, pragmatism, and the ambition not only to develop concepts but to implement results together with the stakeholders.
• A completed degree or a comparable qualification. What matters most to us is your relevant project experience.
• Experience in modeling and documenting business processes with BPMN and their application in project management.
• Energy industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement. Knowledge of renewable energies, direct marketing, electricity trading, balancing group management, PPAs, or virtual power plants is helpful. However, you should be willing and able to quickly familiarize yourself with energy industry contexts, understand functional requirements, and translate them into viable solutions and actionable work packages together with the teams.
