Whether a storage project can be built depends not only on technology and permits but also on robust, bankable financing. As Senior Manager Project Finance, you will independently be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and closing debt financings for our greenfield and acquisition projects. You will manage financings hands-on from the first bank contact to financial close, connecting banks, investors, advisors, and our internal teams.

Your Responsibilities

• You will independently structure, negotiate, and close project financings for BESS facilities – from bank outreach and term sheets to signing and financial close.
• You will reliably manage Conditions Precedent and Conditions Subsequent, as well as loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor agreements, in collaboration with banks and external legal counsel.
• You will actively expand robust banking relationships and coordinate lender due diligence, data rooms, Q&A processes, and technical, legal, insurance, and model advisors.
• You will ensure the bankability of key project contracts such as EPC, O&M, grid connection, PPAs or tolling agreements, and land leases early on with Legal, Development, and Delivery teams.
• You will independently develop and maintain complex project financing models – including CFADS, DSCR, LLCR, IRR, Equity Return, Debt Sculpting, as well as base, bank, and downside cases.
• After closing, you will be responsible for debt financing controlling, covenant monitoring, reserve accounts, and bank reporting, and develop suitable waiver, reprofiling, or reforecast measures in case of risks.
• You will support acquisition and investment decisions with financing indications, business cases, and FID analyses, and contribute to our long-term financing and investment strategy.

Your Profile

• You have completed a degree in business administration or a comparable field and possess five to ten years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, or transaction advisory for renewable energies.
• You have demonstrably structured and successfully closed several non-recourse project financings hands-on from the term sheet phase to financial close.
• You have a firm grasp of CFADS, DSCR, LLCR, debt sculpting, covenants, cash sweeps, reserve accounts, and CP and CS management.
• You can confidently assess LMA-based loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor agreements and lead them to closure in collaboration with legal counsel.
• You use Excel at an expert level and independently build complex project financing models; scenario and sensitivity analyses are part of your daily toolkit.
• You confidently manage lender due diligence and external advisors. Experience with BESS revenue streams, the German regulatory framework, and M&A or co-investment structures is a strong plus.
• You combine ownership, pragmatism, and negotiation skills with very good German and English at a negotiation level. For close collaboration, you will be regularly present at our location in Aschheim near Munich.
