This Nelson-based firm is seeking a BAS Senior Manager or Associate Director to join their senior leadership group and play a pivotal role in both managing complex compliance work and driving business improvement strategies.

This is a well-established and highly regarded practice, known for delivering exceptional client service and fostering long-term relationships. The role is ideal for a technically strong CA who thrives in a client-facing position and wants to lead from the front, both in compliance delivery and internal strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery of high-level compliance and advisory work and corporate structuring
• Act as a strategic advisor to clients, providing insight on business planning, growth, and tax strategy
• Play an active role in internal strategic planning and business development initiatives
• Contribute to improving internal systems, workflows, and firm profitability

What You’ll Bring:

• CA qualified with 6+ years in public practice in BAS in New Zealand
• Proven leadership in managing both client relationships and accounting teams
• Advanced technical knowledge in NZ compliance, tax, and accounting standards
• Strategic thinking with the ability to align compliance and advisory with business goals
