Senior Manager-Fixed Assets

Overview

A leading and growing organisation is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Fixed Assets at the Senior Manager level, based in Gurgaon. The role falls under the Finance function and reports directly to the Head – SME. The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of experience, preferably with a background in financial control and the TMT Industry.

The SME will be responsible for studying, reviewing, and updating internal controls around key fixed asset processes. This includes testing controls to ensure data accuracy, policy compliance, and reporting any non-compliance to management. The role involves creating process manuals, identifying and resolving implementation issues, and recommending process re-engineering strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in fixed asset accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting stakeholders in capitalization, depreciation, and disposal accounting, while ensuring timely management of changes to fixed assets.
• The SME will oversee critical reconciliations to maintain balance sheet health, manage internal and external audits, and consolidate fixed asset risks.
• Additionally, the role involves leading special projects to streamline business processes and guiding cross-functional teams in understanding frameworks like SIPOC and AGs.

Must Have

• The incumbent must possess a strong understanding of fixed asset accounting and be well-versed in accounting processes and AGs to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• The role requires collaboration with individuals who may not report directly but influence the quality of work.
• Staying updated with evolving accounting methodologies, especially in the TMT Industry sector, is essential.
