Description Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER) team across the Asia Pacific, Japan, and China (APJC) region. This role is critical to Amazon's mission of becoming "Earth's Best Employer" by proactively managing employee relations risks and fostering positive employee experiences across our diverse APJC markets. Reporting to the Director of Global Corporate Employee Relations, this senior leader will oversee and drive strategic initiatives, provide expert guidance, and ensure consistent application of employee relations policies and practices. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and develop a team of experienced employee relations professionals across APJC, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage complex employee relations issues. * Serve as a strategic partner to HR leaders and business stakeholders in APJC, providing expert counsel on employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution. * Proactively identify and assess employee relations risks across APJC, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. * Drive the development and implementation of employee relations programs and initiatives that support Amazon's mission of becoming "Earth's Best Employer," including programs focused on employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and workplace safety. * Oversee and manage complex employee relations investigations, ensuring thoroughness, objectivity, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. * Develop and deliver training programs and resources to educate HR professionals and business leaders on employee relations best practices. * Collaborate with other GCER leaders and teams to ensure consistency and alignment of employee relations practices globally. * Manage budget and resources for the APJC GCER team. * Analyze employee relations data and trends to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making. * Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations in APJC markets and ensure that Amazon's employee relations practices are compliant. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. * 10+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, with at least 5 years of experience managing a team. * Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations in APJC markets. * Experience conducting complex employee relations investigations. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree or advanced degree in human resources or a related field. * Experience working in a global, matrixed organization. * Experience with unionized environments. * Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics.
