Senior Magento 2 Backend Developer Work location: 100% remote work or in one of our offices Zielona Góra/Tychy/Wrocław/Kraków/Warsaw We are looking for an experienced Senior Magento 2 Backend Developer with a practical approach to DevOps, who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our e-commerce platform based on Magento 2 and services based on the Symfony framework. We are looking for someone who is technically independent, capable of making architectural decisions, designing scalable backend solutions, optimizing system performance, and independently deploying and maintaining applications in production environments. Your tasks: Development and maintenance of Magento 2 platforms and applications based on the Symfony framework. Design of backend architecture and system integrations. Estimation and planning of development work. Maintenance of applications in production environments. Optimization of application and infrastructure performance. Co-creation of CI/CD processes. Analysis and resolution of production problems. Supporting the team in good practices and code quality. Participation in technological decisions and technical roadmap. Our expectations: Technical requirements: PHP / Magento / Symfony - Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in PHP. - Minimum 6 years of experience working with Magento 2 (as a backend developer). - Very good knowledge of PHP, Magento, and Symfony 6+. - Ability to diagnose performance issues and optimize applications. - Experience with external system integrations (ERP, PIM, payments). - Practical knowledge of RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Varnish. DevOps / Infrastructure - Experience working with Docker and Docker Swarm. - Practical knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins). - Ability to prepare and maintain development, testing, and production environments. - Knowledge of Linux at an administrative level (Ubuntu/Debian). - Experience with web server configuration (Nginx). - Experience with application monitoring and logging: New Relic, Graylog, Grafana, Prometheus. - Basic knowledge of Ansible. Quality and development process - Experience working with Gitflow and/or GitHub Flow. - Experience in designing and maintaining automated tests in PHPUnit. - Ability to work in Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Experience in estimating and planning complex development projects. - Attention to code quality, security, and deployment stability. Soft skills - Independence and technical ownership. - Ability to make architectural decisions. - Ability to mentor less experienced programmers. - Good communication with business and technical teams. - Proactive approach to problem-solving. - Focus on responsibility for delivering results and system stability. Nice to have - Magento / Adobe Commerce certificates. - Knowledge of Hyvä. - Knowledge of Algolia. - Experience in e-commerce environments with high traffic. - Experience with microservices architecture.
