Senior Linux & Network Engineer (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Linux and network specialist who is enthusiastic about modern infrastructure, automation, and security. You can expect varied customer projects, a lot of personal responsibility, and a high proportion of home office.

Tasks

• Administration, operation, and further development of Linux servers with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Support of network and security infrastructures
• Configuration and operation of firewalls, VPN, and remote access solutions
• Management and optimization of load balancers and reverse proxies
• Automation of operating processes with Ansible and other tools
• Operation of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
• Analysis and resolution of complex disturbances in customer environments
• Support for architecture, migration, and modernization projects
• Documentation of systems and processes
• Occasional on-site deployments at the customer's premises or in the data center

Qualification

• Several years of experience in Linux system administration
• Very good knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or comparable distributions
• Experience with firewalls, routing, switching, and network security
• Good knowledge of Ansible and infrastructure automation
• Experience in operating highly available environments
• Knowledge of HAProxy, Red Hat Satellite, or similar technologies is an advantage
• Ideally, experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, or DevOps tools
• Structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Driver's license class B
