Senior Legal Counsel (Shipping Litigation, Legal & Claims)

Contract Type: Permanent Location: Singapore, Singapore Date Published: 03-Feb-2026 Salary: $230,000.00 - $240,000.00 Annual The Role: Our client is a renowned operator in the maritime industry. They are looking to strengthen the legal bench with this hire. This role provides end-to-end legal, claims, and insurance support across the group. You will advise on a wide range of corporate and commercial shipping matters, including drafting and negotiating agency agreements, charterparties, slot and container vessel charters, bills of lading, and other related contracts. You will also provide guidance on compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as assist in the resolution of disputes through litigation or alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in shipping law, with experience in advising on charterparties, bills of lading, and other shipping-related contracts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to management on key issues.
