(Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/d) for Commercial

We are looking for a Legal Counsel (m/f/d) Commercial to join our Legal Team as soon as possible to support exciting tasks such as contract review and negotiation, contract management, and internationalization.

• Support in RFP/Tender processes and, in coordination with the Legal-Commercial Team and the Market department, independent execution of contract negotiations with interested parties and existing clients, as well as conducting legal reviews, also for our international subsidiaries (for the DACH, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Benelux, Poland, Romania, and Nordics regions)
• Takeover/Participation in the review of data protection contracts (e.g., DPAs) as well as contracts with service providers and other cooperation partners
• Thematic and event-driven coordination with colleagues, especially from the broader Legal & Compliance department, including Data Protection & AI Governance, Market (Business Development & Partnership Management), as well as IT Security and Finance, and with external partners to ensure compliance with legal requirements and contractual conditions
• Active participation in the development and implementation of strategies for optimization in the Legal Operations area
• Support for the Lead Legal Counsel Commercial (Commercial) and, if applicable, the General Counsel with other legal matters

• Legal degree (at least LL.M.) in at least one EU/EEA jurisdiction, preferably with or at the level of a German second state examination in law
• At least 4 years of experience in Commercial Law, preferably in the international European environment in the markets relevant to the PAIR Finance Group (Plus: France, Italy)
• At least 2 years of experience in negotiating data protection contracts, preferably also with partners from the regions of France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Romania
• Practical experience in supporting RFP and tender processes as well as in contract negotiations, contract management, and legal reviews, ideally gained in an internationally operating company
• Fluent English is a must-have, as is French and/or German. Other languages such as Italian, Dutch, or Swedish are a plus
• Experience in stakeholder management
• Great interest and ability to realistically reflect contracts and to further develop contract management systems and relevant documentation

• Berlin (Charlottenburg) - Hybrid 
• During the probationary period (6 months): 2–3 days per week in the office
