Senior Legal Counsel, Manufacturing

Our client is a global manufacturing organisation with a strong and growing presence across the Asia Pacific region. Operating in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment, the business partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to drive innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. They are now seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to act as the lead legal representative in APAC, supporting regional operations while engaging regularly with global leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic legal advice to the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations; • Collaborate with regional business leaders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies; • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations; • Manage and coordinate the provision of legal services across the APAC region, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and compliance monitoring; • Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and industry trends in the APAC region, providing expert guidance to the business; • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client's business operations, products, and services, as well as their global policies and procedures. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; • At least 8 years of experience in legal counsel roles, preferably with a focus on manufacturing or industry-specific expertise; • Strong knowledge of APAC region laws and regulations, including employment law, intellectual property law, and commercial law; • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines; • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to provide expert guidance to non-legal stakeholders.
