Senior Legal Counsel

Lendable connects emerging and frontier market companies with international and local investors so that they can in turn provide financial and sustainability services to those who need it the most: underbanked consumers and SMEs and MMEs in high-impact sectors. We have built the technical and financial infrastructure to increase access to credit in emerging and frontier markets, including a proprietary database of over 208m loans across 28 countries. To date, we have helped more than 6.2m people. We are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel who will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company's operations, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in corporate law, securities regulation, and financial services. In addition, experience working with emerging markets or frontier economies would be highly valued. Key responsibilities include: Providing legal advice and guidance on all aspects of the business, including corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance; Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement new initiatives and projects; Staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations.
