Senior Legal Counsel, 12-month contract (Sydney)

We’re working with a leading global trading firm, to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Sydney-based Legal team for a 12-month parental leave contract . This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal in-house role supporting the Asia-Pacific operations. You’ll be advising on a broad range of trading, derivatives, and OTC regulatory matters, partnering closely with teams across trading, compliance, risk, finance, and operations. Key accountabilities include: Advising on OTC and exchange-traded derivatives; Providing legal advice on trading, market, and regulatory issues; Collaborating with the Compliance team to ensure effective implementation of regulatory requirements; Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, traders, and other business units; Providing guidance on risk management and mitigation strategies; Assisting in the development of policies and procedures for Asia-Pacific operations. You’ll be working closely with a talented and experienced legal team, with opportunities to make a real impact and contribute to the firm’s continued growth and success.
