Job Description Are you an experienced credit risk manager and do you like to have an impact on strategic decisions? As a Senior Credit Risk Manager, you will develop and monitor a robust credit risk framework. From the independent 2nd line, you will actively challenge credit policy and support the organization in making sound credit decisions. Together with the risk management team, you will build a future-oriented and impactful risk function, focusing on the most material risks.

Credit Risk Policy and Frameworks

• drafting and updating credit risk policy and guidelines
• defining and challenging risk appetite and limits
• translating regulations into pragmatic internal frameworks
• ensuring consistency between strategy and risk management

Independent Challenge and Supervision

• participation in credit committees
• challenging complex and material credit files
• testing credit decisions against policy and limits
• formulating well-founded risk advice

Monitoring and Reporting

• monitoring credit KPIs and risk indicators
• monitoring the credit portfolio and trends
• reporting to management and committees
• signaling emerging risks

Risk Analysis and Deep Dives

• conducting thematic analyses
• analysis of non-performing exposures (NPE)
• participating in stress tests and scenario analyses
• identifying and interpreting structural risks

Governance and Integration

• contributing to ICAAP and strategic risk processes
• integrating risk in projects (risk by design)
• acting as a sparring partner for senior stakeholders
• collaborating with the 1st and 3rd line

Follow-up and Escalation

• following up on action plans and recommendations
• escalating material risks
• monitoring the implementation of measures

Profile

• master's degree in economics, finance, business engineering, or equivalent
• at least 3 years of relevant experience in credit risk
• strong knowledge of credit risk and regulations
• strong communication skills in Dutch and English, basic knowledge of French
• analytical and critical
• pragmatic and solution-oriented
• high integrity
