Your Role

Within our R&D department, you will join the Studio team, responsible for developing our robotic warehouse design and configuration tool.

From 3D warehouse modeling to sizing a Skypod solution (a robotic storage and order picking solution for logistics warehouses), including cost optimization and deployment preparation, Studio assists Exotec teams at every stage of their projects.

As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will contribute to the evolution of this strategic tool by designing and developing its backend and APIs. You will tackle various technical challenges, from business rule engines to integrations with the Exotec ecosystem, with one goal: to propose reliable, performant, and user-needs-adapted solutions.

Working closely with technical, product, and business teams, you will actively participate in design choices and continuous improvement of Studio, to facilitate the design and deployment of Exotec's robotic solutions worldwide.

Your Missions

• Develop Studio's backend: design and evolve Java and Spring Boot services, APIs, and functionalities related to 3D design, solution sizing, and cost calculation.
• Design integrations: develop and maintain connectors with costing tools, AutoCAD, and APIs of the Exotec ecosystem, particularly ICT and MCP.
• Ensure product quality: guarantee the performance, robustness, and reliability of applications, analyze production incidents, and contribute to continuous code improvement.
• Contribute to continuous delivery: participate in CI/CD processes, releases, and validation of developments with GitLab.
• Collaborate with teams: gather user needs, work with product, frontend, sales, and project teams, and participate in the team's agile rituals.

Profile

You hold a degree from an engineering school or have a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science or Industrial Computing, and have at least 5 years of experience in web development.

You possess the following skills:

• Proficiency in Java and the JEE ecosystem, particularly Spring and Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of web technologies and API design.
• Comfort with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, and Linux environments.
• Mastery of version control and collaborative development tools, notably GitLab.
• Ideally, knowledge of a JavaScript framework, such as React or Vue.js.
• Operational English level.

Structured, rigorous, and imaginative, you know how to take initiative and propose pragmatic solutions. You enjoy teamwork and are comfortable collaborating with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in a friendly work environment.

On-call duty is required for this position.
