Senior Java Developer

What you’ll do

• Design & build high-throughput, low-latency services with Java 17+ & Spring Boot.

• Own architecture for domain-driven, event-driven microservices (REST/gRPC, Kafka/Pulsar).

• Scale & harden systems: performance tuning (GC, profiling), reliability (circuit breakers, retries), and SLOs.

• Data layer: model and optimize relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis/Elastic/Mongo) stores.

• Security-first: implement OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, secrets management, and compliance-minded coding.

• DevEx & quality: CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Jenkins), test strategy (JUnit/Mockito/Testcontainers), code reviews.

• Observability: metrics, tracing, and logging (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana).

• Mentor & lead: guide mid/junior engineers; uphold engineering standards and documentation.

• Partner with product: break down epics, estimate, and deliver iteratively with clear success metrics.

What you’ll need (must-haves)

• 3–5 years professional backend experience with Java (11/17+).

• Strong in Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST API design, and concurrency.

• Experience with message brokers/streams (Kafka/RabbitMQ/Pulsar) and event-driven patterns.

• Solid RDBMS fundamentals (indexes, transactions) and caching (Redis).

• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS/GCP/Azure.

• Proven performance tuning (profilers, GC logs), and resilience (timeouts, bulkheads).

• Testing depth across unit, integration (Testcontainers), and contract tests (OpenAPI/PACT).

• Clear communication, product sense, and ownership mindset.

Nice to have

• Kotlin/Scala, Reactive (Project Reactor), gRPC, GraphQL.

• Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD; feature flags (LaunchDarkly/Unleash).

• Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, OLAP (ClickHouse/BigQuery), CDC/Debezium.

• Payment, fintech, or security-sensitive domains; GDPR/PII handling.

• Experience leading a squad or tech initiatives.
