We ingest and analyze metadata at a "DNA level" from source code, database structures, and programming languages to help organizations accelerate AI initiatives, modernize cloud applications, and achieve rapid regulatory compliance.

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer based in Timișoara or surrounding areas to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will design and build high-performance backend systems responsible for processing massive amounts of enterprise metadata.
Our technology interacts deeply with source code, database scripts, and configuration files. While your primary strength must be excellent Core Java engineering, any experience—or a strong interest—in compiler design, language parsing, Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) will make you stand out.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance metadata ingestion engines and features using Java.
Develop backend services capable of analyzing complex data structures, data flows, and dependencies across various enterprise technologies.
Collaborate with product and architecture teams to build and integrate new technology connectors into the EIIG platform.
Write clean, well-documented, and highly maintainable code using industry best practices.
Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and architectural discussions to drive technical excellence.

Core Requirements
Location: Based in Timișoara or surrounding areas (surrounding regions within commuting/reasonable distance).
Experience: 5+ years of professional backend development experience in Java (Core Java, multi-threading, memory management, and performance tuning).
Language: Excellent command of written and spoken English is a strict must, as you will work closely with our US-based teams and international stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills when dealing with complex data landscapes.

Nice-to-Have (A Strong Plus)
Experience with ANTLR (or similar parser generators) for language recognition and grammar construction.
Background or interest in compiler theory, static code analysis, or parsing source code (e.g., extracting logic from SQL dialects, Python, COBOL, etc.).
Familiarity with graph databases, metadata management, or big data processing.
