Senior Java Developer ISO 8583 jPOS

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team implementing projects in the area of payment systems and financial integration. The person in this role will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of solutions based on the ISO 8583 standard using jPOS. Scope of Responsibilities Design and implementation of ISO 8583 message translation modules. Creation and development of ISO 8583 parsers. Implementation and configuration of TCP communication channels. Building and developing communication simulators for ISO. Configuration and development of solutions based on the jPOS framework. Execution of technology spikes and preparation of Proofs of Concept. Development of core components responsible for message processing. Analysis and bug fixing, and optimization of existing solutions. Support for end-to-end tests and application performance tuning. Collaboration with project teams and testers during deployments. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in Java programming. Very good knowledge of the ISO 8583 standard (1987 and/or 1993 versions). Practical experience with the jPOS framework, in particular: Packager, Channel, MUX. Experience in implementing TCP/IP communication. Ability to create parsers and ISO 8583 message translation modules. Experience in building and using test harnesses and ISO simulators. Ability to diagnose communication problems and analyze logs. Experience in supporting integration and end-to-end tests. Knowledge of good practices in backend application design and development. Nice to have Experience in projects within the banking or payment sector. Knowledge of authorization systems and payment switches. Experience with performance tuning of Java applications. Knowledge of system monitoring and diagnostics tools.
