YOUR MISSION

As a Senior Java Backend Developer (m/f/d), you will develop high-performance backend solutions for demanding business applications in the statutory health insurance sector. You will implement complex functional requirements and contribute your technical expertise to design and continuously develop stable, secure, and future-proof applications.

Your Tasks

• Development and further development of modern backend applications based on Java and Spring / Spring Boot

• Conception, implementation, and integration of REST interfaces

• Implementation of complex functional requirements in the statutory health insurance sector

• Development of performant and maintainable software solutions, taking into account quality and security requirements

• Work with SQL and DB2 for processing and managing business data

• Analysis, optimization, and further development of existing applications and components

• Creation of automated tests and ensuring software quality

• Technical coordination with business departments, development teams, and other project stakeholders

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO US

• Several years of experience in Java backend development and very good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot

• Practical project experience with BITMARCK 21c ng

• Experience in the GKV (statutory health insurance) environment, ideally with LRB, ELW, or EEL

• Sound knowledge of REST web services, SQL, and DB2

• Practical experience in developing secure and reliable software solutions and handling sensitive patient data

• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken (C2 level)

Nice to have:

• Experience with microservices and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

• Knowledge of Kafka, Liquibase, and modern test frameworks

• Experience with FHIR or other healthcare standards, as well as agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
