Your Tasks
- Total responsibility for strategic and operational IT procurement with a focus on digital technologies, IT services, software, mobile communications, and IT infrastructure.
- Analyze existing IT cost structures in hospitals and healthcare facilities with the goal of sustainable cost optimization.
- Rapid identification of potential savings in existing supplier, contract, and licensing structures.
- Leadership, guidance, and further development of an IT procurement team including professional instruction and prioritization.
- Establishment of transparent cost, contract, and supplier overviews (e.g. spend analyses, benchmarking).
- Development and implementation of procurement and negotiation strategies to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Independent execution of complex contract and price negotiations with national and international IT service providers.
- Closely cooperate with IT leadership, controlling, data protection, information security, and departmental teams.
- Evaluation of new technologies and digital solutions under economic, regulatory, and strategic aspects.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement, compliance, and data protection requirements in the healthcare sector.
- Counseling management on make-or-buy decisions as well as investment and potential savings opportunities.
- Guidance of external service providers and consultants in the context of IT procurement and cost optimization.
Your Profile
- Degree in economics, IT, engineering, health economics or a comparable qualification.
- Multiple years of relevant work experience in IT procurement, ideally in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrable experience in systematic cost analysis and cost reduction of complex IT landscapes.
- Fundamental knowledge of IT contract models, licensing, mobile communications, and service contracts.
- Leadership experience or the ability to take on professional and disciplinary responsibility.
- Excellent understanding of IT architectures, digital technologies, and IT services (not hardware-focused).
- High negotiation confidence at decision-maker level as well as assertiveness.
- Analytical, structured working style with a clear view of economic interdependencies.
- Able to quickly adapt to new organizations and existing structures.
- Communication strength and confident appearance towards internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in dealing with key figures, business cases, and decision-making grounds for management.
- High willingness to travel for assignments at hospitals and facilities on site.
- Very good German language skills in writing and speaking, good English language skills desired.
