(Senior) IT Systems Engineer (Backup/Storage) (m/w/d)

Aufgaben

• Realization of complex data center projects in the area of storage and backup in collaboration with the operation teams (block-, file- and object-storage systems, backup in virtual environments with CommVault and Veeam)
• Creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation of implemented solutions
• Tight cooperation with colleagues from the virtualization area as well as network to further optimize our infrastructure
• Support for our sales teams as a technical contact person in consulting and offer preparation
• Optimization and automation of regularly recurring tasks
• Following cloud innovations and tight cooperation with our manufacturers or partners
• Evaluation of new products and solutions and further development of our IT architecture and its processes

Qualifikation

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a study, vocational training for system integration or equivalent qualification
• Multiple years of experience with backup technologies
• Very good knowledge in at least one of the following solutions: CommVault, Veeam
• Familiarity with Powershell, REST-APIs and version control systems like Gitlab or Github
• Experience with NetApp Storage and S3 Object Storage
• Fundamental knowledge in automation techniques and familiar with high availability systems
• NetApp, CommVault or other certification (Admin or Architect environment) from enterprise manufacturers desirable
• Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking Team ability, high motivation and willingness to learn
