Our client is looking for an experienced IT System Administrator (m/f/d) for the secure operation and further development of a heterogeneous IT infrastructure. The focus is on Windows and Linux servers, networks, container environments, as well as automation and IT security.

Your tasks

• Administration and further development of Windows, Linux, and database servers

• Operation and management of container environments, especially with Docker

• Management of a private cloud infrastructure based on Proxmox

• Support and further development of the Microsoft 365 environment

• Execution of patch management, system hardening, and performance optimizations

• Optimization of monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery concepts

• Incident response in 2nd and 3rd level support

• Planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects

• Documentation and continuous optimization of the system landscape

• Participation in architectural decisions and the further development of a Zero Trust architecture

• Ensuring relevant compliance requirements

• Automation of IT processes

Your profile

• Completed training as a specialist in system integration (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification

• At least three years of professional experience in IT operations

• Experience with complex and security-relevant IT architectures

• In-depth knowledge in the administration of Linux servers

• Experience with container technologies, especially with Docker

• Experience in 2nd and 3rd level support as well as in the implementation of IT infrastructure projects

• Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements and in the automation of IT processes

• Analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking skills

• Very good oral and written communication skills

• Structured, independent, and service-oriented working style
