Senior IT Project Manager (m/w/d)

We are looking for a senior IT project manager (m/w/d) for our client, a consulting and auditing company with multiple locations and around 2,000 employees, headquartered in Düsseldorf. The successful candidate will be responsible for several strategic IT projects in the CIO office environment, covering topics such as digitalization, business-IT alignment, and preparation and support of acquisitions and post-merger integrations.

You will take on a central project management role in close proximity to the CIO organization: most of your projects are strategic CIO initiatives, while others arise from the IT organization itself. You will be working at the interface between classical IT project management, PMO-like structuring, and change communication.

Tasks

• Sole responsibility for steering multiple strategic IT projects in areas such as digitalization, infrastructure, applications, integrations, and post-merger integration
• Building clear project structures: planning, reporting, status logic, measure tracking
• Consecutive monitoring of tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities
• Stakeholder management across various levels and areas
• Change communication: conveying changes in a way that is understandable and binding to the organization
• Enabling less experienced project participants through practical, value-based coaching

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in (Business-) Informatics, Economics or a comparable qualification
• Multiple years of experience in IT project management, preferably from consulting or professional services
• Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, IPMA or equivalent)
• Excellent stakeholder management and change skills
• Structured, analytical work style, binding and consistent in follow-up
• Tough but sensitive when dealing with different personalities
