Job description
Shape a modern IT asset management for municipal IT in Leverkusen with us.
Do you know how device inventories, contract information, and many individual work steps become reliable IT asset management? Have you already restructured processes and successfully introduced changes into daily work? With us, you can contribute this experience and sustainably develop an area.
The ivl is the IT service provider for Leverkusen and the surrounding area. We support the city administration, municipal companies, and schools with high-performance IT. We want to re-establish our asset management in terms of expertise, organization, and technology: with clear responsibilities, robust data, and digital, automated processes wherever possible.
As part of a succession due to age, we are looking for an experienced personality who will conceptualize this modernization, implement it together with our commercial and technical teams, and subsequently continue to develop asset management in the long term. You will work closely with commercial management and take over process responsibility.
Do you want to contribute and make your ideas effective in operations? Then we look forward to getting to know you!
Your Tasks
You will analyze our existing processes, data, and tools in asset management and develop a future-proof target state with a concrete, prioritized implementation plan from them.
You will design end-to-end processes throughout the entire lifecycle of our IT assets – from procurement and recording through assignment and use to return and disposal.
You will clarify responsibilities and interfaces between asset management, technical CMDB, purchasing, IT operations, accounting, and controlling together with the involved teams.
You will establish uniform data standards and reliable maintenance processes. You will ensure that the leading system and functional responsibility are defined for relevant information.
You will define the functional requirements for modern tools and interfaces and accompany their selection and implementation, including data cleansing, migration, testing, and training.
You will ensure that inventory changes and material movements relevant for billing are recorded completely, on time, and with the required customer, contract, and service references.
You will implement improvements together with colleagues, accompany the introduction of new working methods, and ensure that they function in day-to-day business.
You will take responsibility for the quality of ongoing asset processes, support with complex operational issues, and continuously develop the area based on appropriate key figures.
Your Qualifications
You have a completed university degree, for example in business informatics or business administration, or a commercial or IT-related apprenticeship with corresponding professional experience.
You have several years of relevant experience in IT asset management or in a comparable role at the interface between commercial processes and IT operations.
You have already significantly managed the modernization of processes or the introduction of an asset or service management system – from conception to functioning regular operations.
You understand the economic interrelationships of procurement, inventory, contracts, and billing, and can derive practical requirements from them.
You are familiar with the interplay of IT asset management, CMDB, IT service management, and ERP systems and can communicate with technical experts about data models and interfaces.
You work analytically and structurally, recognize priorities, and combine conceptual strength with the willingness to delve into data and operational processes yourself.
You communicate clearly, moderate different requirements, and gain colleagues for binding joint processes.
Experience in an IT service provider and with customer-related service billing is an advantage.
You have very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
What awaits you?
A responsible task with scope for design and direct collaboration with commercial management.
Salary based on TV-V (depending on qualification EG 10 – EG 11) as well as additional benefits such as Christmas bonus, performance bonus, and company pension scheme.
A 39-hour week with flexible working hours, home office options, and 30 days of vacation.
A collegial environment where we use informal address, speak openly with each other, and value each other.
Good accessibility by public transport, free parking, and JobRad (company bicycle scheme).
Offers for your health and ergonomically equipped workstations.
We want to attract people with diverse experiences and perspectives to ivl. Your skills and motivation are decisive – regardless of gender, origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, or marital status. A part-time position is also fundamentally possible. We expressly welcome applications from women; in cases of equal suitability, they will be given preferential consideration in accordance with the LGG NRW.
