Senior DevOps Engineer
Job description
As Get IT Together, we specialize in delivering highly skilled IT Experts in the areas of project management, architecture, business and system analysis, and software development. Our experienced HR team knows how to effectively recruit and nurture relationships with top IT candidates. We are currently seeking individuals for the position of Senior DevOps Engineer. What you will gain by working with us: Form of cooperation based on a B2B contract with Get IT Together. Contract for 140-150 hours per month until 10.2027 with the possibility of extension. Remote work with visits to Wrocław (once a month). Necessary work tools. Implementation of projects for a client in the energy sector. Opportunity for continuous development. What you will be responsible for: Designing, implementing, and developing DevOps environments and infrastructure supporting the software development process. Automating deployment and administrative processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Creating, maintaining, and developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI. Configuring, provisioning, and managing infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform. Designing and maintaining containerized environments based on Docker and Podman, and container orchestration using Nomad. Monitoring application and infrastructure environments, and optimizing their performance and reliability. Configuring and maintaining network infrastructure components, including load balancers, reverse proxies, firewalls, and auto-scaling mechanisms. Creating scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks. Collaborating with development teams in implementing and maintaining solutions in line with DevOps best practices. Diagnosing and resolving issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and production environments. What competencies are essential: Minimum 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a related role. Very good knowledge of infrastructure and configuration automation tools, particularly Ansible and Terraform. Practical experience working with containerization using Docker and Podman. Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD processes using Jenkins and GitLab CI. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, provisioning, and deployment automation. Experience in container orchestration using Nomad. Very good knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, network communication, reverse/forward proxy, load balancing, firewalls, encryption, monitoring, and auto-scaling mechanisms. Ability to create scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks. Good knowledge of software development processes and DevOps practices. Ability for analytical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Nice to have: Knowledge of data storage technologies and Object Storage solutions (S3, MinIO, NAS, Gluster, or similar). Experience in system virtualization, networks, and storage (VMware ESX, Hyper-V, vSAN, NAS). Knowledge of Web Application Firewall solutions (ModSecurity). Experience with Reverse Proxy solutions such as NGINX, Apache, or Fabio.
