A leading global e-commerce company in South Africa is seeking a Principal Investment Risk Manager. The role involves developing risk management strategies, overseeing private investments, and managing stakeholder relationships within the B-BBEE framework. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a related field and advanced credentials, alongside significant experience in risk management and investment analysis. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives; • Overseeing private investments within the B-BBEE framework, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines; • Managing stakeholder relationships with key partners, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with new business initiatives; • Providing expert advice on risk management best practices to senior leadership and other stakeholders; • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging issues in the field of investment risk management. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting, business administration) or equivalent experience; • Advanced credentials in risk management, such as a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation; • At least 5 years of experience in investment analysis and risk management, preferably within the African context; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop effective risk mitigation strategies; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
