(Senior) Investment Analyst (m/f/d)
Job description
- Collaboration with Investment Managers to refine investment strategy, evaluate potential investment targets, and identify new market opportunities.
- Active involvement in the sourcing and execution of M&A transactions (Mergers and Acquisitions) in the onshore wind sector in Germany.
- Coordination of business development activities, including market research, identification of potential investment opportunities, and building relationships with developers, advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Support in conducting due diligence processes, including financial, legal, and technical analyses.
- Taking ownership of financial modeling throughout the lifecycle of a deal, including the creation and maintenance of complex financial models, performing sensitivity and scenario analyses, and preparing investment valuations.
- Supporting the investment team in drafting investment proposals, business cases, and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- Liaising with internal teams, including legal, finance, and technical departments, to ensure smooth execution and timely closing of transactions.
- Conducting industry and market research to stay abreast of the latest trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the renewable energy sector.
Your Profile
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Investment Analyst or Associate, preferably with experience in renewable energy and M&A transactions.
- Solid understanding of financial modeling, investment valuation techniques, and financial analysis.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
