Senior Internal Accountant / Accounting Lead

Company Description: Valutico is a B2B FinTech company that operates an international valuation platform designed to empower financial service providers and valuation professionals with data-driven tools for more efficient analysis. Location: Vienna, Austria or Remote (Europe) Availability: 25-30 hours a week (optional full-time) The Role We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Internal Accountant / Accounting Lead to manage the global accounting operations and financial reporting for our company. As the Senior Internal Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, preparing financial statements, and contributing to the development of our accounting processes. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulations. Oversee and improve accounting processes and internal controls. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts. Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting. Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies. Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Lead. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., DATEV, or similar). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Experience with IFRS is a plus.
