About the role
This is a great fit for a well-rounded civil engineer with 3–6 years’ experience and solid capability across design, modelling, and site delivery. You’ll work on a mix of public and private projects, from greenfield subdivisions to council-driven infrastructure upgrades. There’s plenty of responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to grow your influence in a region that’s busy and expanding.

- Produce and review civil design using 12d and related tools
- Lead components of land development projects, from feasibility through to construction
- Coordinate stormwater, earthworks, roading, and three-waters design
- Work closely with local councils, consultants, and contractors
- Provide site support, resolve technical challenges, and ensure quality delivery
- Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to project planning, reporting, and client experience
What you will need
- 3–6 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally with land development exposure
- Good understanding of stormwater and local council processes
- Competency in 12d (or similar civil design software)
- Mix of office and site experience
- Strong communication skills and a growth mindset
- Ambition to work toward CPEng and broaden your capability
- A generalist approach and willingness to jump into varied tasks
- Current NZ working rights + NZ engineering experience
