You’ll be working closely with an experienced Principal who’s hands-on, collaborative, and invested in your progression.

About the role

This is a great fit for a well-rounded civil engineer with 3–6 years’ experience and solid capability across design, modelling, and site delivery. You’ll work on a mix of public and private projects, from greenfield subdivisions to council-driven infrastructure upgrades. There’s plenty of responsibility, autonomy, and the chance to grow your influence in a region that’s busy and expanding.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and review civil design using 12d and related tools
• Lead components of land development projects, from feasibility through to construction
• Coordinate stormwater, earthworks, roading, and three-waters design
• Work closely with local councils, consultants, and contractors
• Provide site support, resolve technical challenges, and ensure quality delivery
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to project planning, reporting, and client experience

What you will need

• 3–6 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally with land development exposure
• Good understanding of stormwater and local council processes
• Competency in 12d (or similar civil design software)
• Mix of office and site experience
• Strong communication skills and a growth mindset
• Ambition to work toward CPEng and broaden your capability
• A generalist approach and willingness to jump into varied tasks
• Current NZ working rights + NZ engineering experience
