Senior Mechanical Engineer (Public Health) (m/f/d)
Job description
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a focus on sanitary systems, you will take technical responsibility for the planning and development of innovative sanitary systems within complex building projects. You will develop sustainable and economical concepts, coordinate technical interfaces, and support the professional development of junior colleagues.
In close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and project partners, you will contribute significantly to project success.
Responsibilities
- Planning and design of sanitary engineering systems within demanding building projects
- Development of technical concepts in service phases 1 to 7 according to HOAI
- Dimensioning and calculation of drinking water, wastewater, and rainwater systems
- Review and participation in cost calculations, tenders, and awarding processes
- Creation and coordination of BIM models and planning documents
- Coordination with architects, specialist planners, and executing companies
- Technical coordination of sanitary engineering trades within interdisciplinary project teams
- Professional support and guidance for less experienced colleagues
- Participation in innovative and sustainable solutions in the areas of Water Management and Public Health Engineering
Qualifications
- Completed studies in building services engineering, building technology, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the planning of sanitary engineering systems
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Experience in multiple HOAI service phases
- Good knowledge of BIM-based planning methods, ideally with Revit and/or MagiCAD
- Understanding of costs, deadlines, and technical interrelationships of complex projects
- Enjoyment of technical responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Very good German language skills and good English language skills
