Senior Mechanical Engineer (Heating & Cooling) (m/f/d)

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will bring your experience in the planning of heating and cooling systems, take on technical responsibility for sub-areas of complex projects, and support the development of junior colleagues. You will combine technical know-how with interdisciplinary collaboration and a high standard of quality.

In this position, you will be an important technical point of contact within our project teams. You will develop sustainable and economical solutions for heating and cooling systems, coordinate interfaces with other trades, and work closely with clients, architects, and project stakeholders.

You will take responsibility for technical planning, contribute your own ideas, and help to achieve successful project outcomes.

Tasks

• Planning and design of heating and cooling systems within complex building projects
• Development of technical concepts in service phases 1-7 according to HOAI
• Carrying out heating and cooling load calculations as well as dimensioning of system components
• Review and involvement in cost calculations, tenders, and awarding processes
• Creation and coordination of BIM models and planning documents using modern planning tools
• Coordination with architects, specialist planners, executing companies, and other project stakeholders
• Technical coordination of mechanical trades within interdisciplinary project teams
• Support and technical guidance for less experienced colleagues
• Active participation in innovative and sustainable planning solutions

Qualifications

• Completed degree in building services engineering, building technology, energy technology, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the planning of heating, cooling, or HVAC systems, ideally in an engineering or planning office
• In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and regulations
• Experience in planning within multiple HOAI service phases
• Proficient in BIM methods and ideally Revit and/or MagiCAD
• Understanding of costs, deadlines, and technical interrelationships in complex projects
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and technical challenges
• Very good German skills as well as good English skills
